Kohlern cable car
Bolzano is the birthplace of the first passenger cablecar in the world. It was the innkeeper Josef Staffler, a pioneer of tourism, which had the brilliant idea to connect the valley with the mountain Colle, 1135m above sea level. The former six-person cabin lay back on a rope "flying high" of about 850m. An excellent performance in the old days. The news spread like wildfire. Locals and guests were already in the early morning hours in line to experience the thrill of a cable car ride. For many the Colle cable car is still a secret. In just 7 minutes and usually in half-hour clock, the Bolzano Colle cable car brings people into the summer resort.

The gardens of Castle Trautmannsdorff
The Botanical Garden in Merano presented on 12 acres of more than 80 examples of natural and cultural landscapes from around the world. The unique and natural hillside amphitheater surprise beneath the castle with countless natural perspectives: a fascinating insight into exotic Mediterranean landscapes, beautiful views of the majestic mountains of the Alps and the sunny city of Merano.
