Hiking

Spruces, firs, beeches, larches ...
The 25-minute walk to Kohlern worth it! The popular summer resort since time immemorial is 1135m above sea level. Of its 36m high observation tower, a striking wooden structure has a breathtaking view of Bolzano and on the bottom and a distant view of the Dolomites and Central Alps.
Kohlern is an excellent starting point for hiking trips, ideal for young and old.

  • The European long-distance hiking trail No. 5, which runs from Lake Constance to Venice is probably the best known way.
  • Or a walk to Titschen, the highest point of the city of Bolzano! Here is a viewing point and the so-called "Weihbrunnenstoan," a hollowed-out rock in which water is always even though no water supply is available.
  • The Leifers Crest Trail is in spring and autumn as hiking hit the demanding art, he takes on steep rock faces along with some rope and also offers secure sections, giving it the attribute of a (slight) climbing route. A viewpoint with a magnificent view over the Tyrolean lowlands and Leifers and Steiner farms, a beautifully preserved small court orchestra make this hike an unforgettable experience.
